Soliti Newsletter: 2013 so far

2013 began with the Soliti Roadshow, during which several bands from the Soliti roster played 3 
Finnish cities on 3 days in January.
Astrid Swan, The New Tigers, Cats On Fire, Paperfangs, Big Wave Riders and Delay Trees
played to enthusiastic audiences in Tampere, Turku and the capital Helsinki. The event was well 
covered in the finnish media.

In February Black Twig and Delay Trees played the Norwegian By:Larm festival where
both bands played to great crowds winning over many new friends.

Soon after Paperfangs released their praised debut album Past Perfect (Soliti 012).

The band played their album launch show at the new Soliti Club which ran monthly from Bar loose 
between February & May.
Delay Trees - Doze
In early March Delay Trees released their second album Doze (Soliti 011) digitally worldwide.

March also saw band played their first London show ever(!) at the Nordic flavoured 
JaJaJa evening and be interviewed by The Line Of Best Fit.
Cats on Fire
Cats on Fire
Cats On Fire's The Sea Within You -video delighted the world on the 26th of March. It was the second 
collaboration between the band and Appu Jasu, who directed their After The Fact video.

When April began, The New Tigers released a dashing new single Quicksilver.

Black Lizard - s/t 
April also saw the release of the debut album from dark psych punks Black Lizard.
The s/t album (Soliti 014) saw the band work with Brian Jonestown Massacre leader
Anton Newcombe on several tracks and was mastered by Sonic Boom of Spaceman 3.

In mid-April the whole Soliti back-catalog became available on
streaming services  Spotify and Deezer.

In May, Soliti dipped it's toe into English waters and introduced some of it's bands to the UK, via their 
Club Soliti show in London!

The same week Big Wave Riders were joined by Black Lizard to play The Great Escape Festival in 
Brighton.

In May our ears were delighted by a stand alone single from Astrid Swan.

Big Wave Riders
As May continued, Big Wave Riders released their self directed clip for Life Is Art, You Wonder -video.
Matching flecks of psychedelia to rhythms that recall the heyday of baggy, this is simply great fun.”

As summer arrived, so did the time for celebration. In June, Soliti turned two years old! Hurrah! 
A compilation of material from all the Soliti bands was gathered: Soliti Turns Two : Odds, Sods & 
Found Sounds (Soliti 016), a package of never-before-heard delightfulness.

Soon after Black Lizard released a new single/video from their debut album.
